What is ?
is a system whereby you can sign up to receive timely information regarding topics of police interest to you as a citizen of Robinson. Messages may be sent to you as just a regular email message or may be designed into a newsletter.

Why does the Robinson Police Department think it need ?
In the past year, Chief Rusty Smith has had several situations where he would have liked to make Robinson residents aware of certain criminal or safety situations. Most of this information was information that residents needed to be aware quickly. The police department needed a way to reach citizens in a timely manner and provides the opportunity to get information to the citizens in a very short time.

Is there a cost? Will I be solicited by signing up?
There is no cost to you to subscribe to . And, you will not be solicited for money to receive these messages/newsletters.

Will my email address be kept secure? Will my email address be spammed?
All data received by with and will not be sold to or made available to anyone other than the Administrator within the police department. This is not SPAM mail because you will have asked to receive these messages. You can unsubscribe at any time you wish by clicking on the unsubscribe portion of any email message sent to you from . We certainly do not want your email address spammed as we all experience the hassle of spam mail everyday.

Why do you want the name of my street name and city?
By giving us the name of the street you live on, we can send area specific messages to only those that the information may concern.  Example: An message is sent only to people living on JOHN DOE STREET because residential burglaries were reported in the area.

We also ask for the city to make sure we can target messages to Robinson citizens as opposed to Waco residents who share the 76706 zip code.

We can also send message to everyone who has singed up on , making broadcasts as broad as messaging everyone or as defined as a street and the list you sing-up for.

How will I know I've signed up correctly on ?
You will receive an email message indicating you have signed up on . This message will ask you to confirm that you did sign up for this service. This prevents someone else from signing you up maliciously. Confirming that you did sign up for this service is as easy as clicking on a link in the confirmation email message.

Can I post/send messages to ?
Only the Administrator can post messages to . This is not a discussion group that some users may be familiar with. Messages sent by the Administrator must be related to police department matters. In other words, should not be used to send messages on behalf of citizens or organizations outside the Robinson Police Department
