The Records Division also compiles statistics and reports to be distributed to various agencies like the FBI and the State Attorney General's Office. The reports generated include Racial Profiling Data and the Uniform Crime Report.
Accident Reports Copies of accident reports can be obtained from the records division 10 working days after the date of the accident. In cases of fatal accidents, the delay may take longer depending on the investigation. A fee of $6.00 is charged for each copy of an accident report.
Offense Reports Copies of offense reports can be obtained from the records division once a case has been closed. No offense report that is currently open or contains juvenile information will be released. See Juvenile Cases below for more information. A processing fee of $ .55 plus a fee of $ .15 per page will be charged for copies of offense reports. For large case files, a deposit totaling half of the total fee may be required before processing can begin.
Juvenile Cases The Robinson Police Department will however release juvenile records to another law enforcement agency, Child Protective Services or the Unites States Military for purposes of determining eligibility for military service.
